"Floored balances humour with insight, offering a playful yet meaningful exploration of identity, ageing and emotional release. Though its themes could easily expand into a longer work, the short succeeds through its creative lens, vibrant aesthetic and engaging performances. It delivers its ideas with clarity and charm, without ever feeling didactic."

"This film could have filled a feature-length running time with the topics covered, but thanks to a creative lens and fun performances it manages to make some salient points without feeling like a lecture."

"Floored is an absolutely gorgeous short with a fantastic little ensemble. It's a sisterhood of sorts, a delightful complement to the film's celebration of maternal kinship and the struggle women experience in the modern world of parenting, feminism, and the fight to maintain oneself along the way."

"Running at ten minutes, Floored sets an unusual tone, as Bradanini and Alpren place a retro aesthetic in a modern world of social media. It’s a world inhabited by the false presences of modern life, in contrast to the emptiness Eleanor feels. The filmmakers masterfully convey those empty emotions in a bright, clean, pastel world, which, of course, makes quite a comedic contrast in the end. Movie Score: 8/10"

"Co-directed by Marchelle Bradanini and Emily Alpren, Floored uses witty humor to poke fun at the identity shift and sexual disconnect that former career-oriented women turned middle-aged housewives stereotypically face. A recent selection of the 2026 Indy Shorts Film Festival, this indie darling is a satirical delight."
